A reader suggested this book to me and it totally blew me away. Incredible collection of designs, recipes and advice. It is certainly a book that won’t be on your shelf very often and likely to become covered in icing sugar!! The book is spiral bound so that it will lie flat (no more extra flipping pages to get back to the one you want!).
Published in October 2007 and written by Sheila Lampkin, the book comes with 256 pages that are packed full of useful information suitable for beginners to the more experienced as the designs are graded for difficulty.
150 easy to follow motifs and step-by-step instructions for cakes for all occasions. The book includes icing and fondant recipes, seasonal designs, patterns and borders, 3-D models, marzipan fruits and figures, and sugar flowers. You even get a dough gauge showing how much fondant you should make!
Certainly a book to consider if you are a serious decorator or just a hobbyist. Click here, or the book picture on the left to see inside the book and read more reviews.
