One of our favourites are the real fruit fondant icing mixes (see left)! Coming in 5 delicious flavours, this ready-to-mix fondant icing sugar gives real fruit flavour with a natural colour.

Simple to use from the Squires kitchen, the fruit fondant icing is ideal for cupcakes, fancies or perhaps for a wedding cake with a difference! You can even use it to make a buttercream filling by mixing with butter and a little hot water.

There are also high quality books from the Squires Kitchen, such as “Sugar Flowers for Beginners” by Paddi Clark. There is something there for the beginner and the more experienced sugarcraft worker. You will find lots of beautiful photographs, drawings and templates. well worth considering if you are a keen amateur and want to progress as there are graded projects that are dependant on experience.
